Maricopa County, Arizona (which includes Phoenix, Scottsdale, Chandler, Mesa and twenty other municipalities), is the fourth largest county in the U.S.

There is only one government animal control facility serving this teeming population: The Maricopa County Department of Animal Care & Control (AC&C).
